Activate your longevity genes.

  • More energy

Resveratrol mimics calorie restriction and this activates genes (the so-called sirtuins) that protect your DNA and epigenetics. Resveratrol works synergistically with NAD+ boosters - like NMN - that supply the fuel for these sirtuins. Using resveratrol will make you therefore feel more energetic.

  • Antioxidant

Resveratrol is a polyphenol, a naturally occurring highly powerful antioxidant. It is found in high quantities in grape skin, but can also be found in peanuts, berries and Japanese knotweed (Hu Zhang). Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against free radicals that cause diseases.

  • Ageing issues

Resveratrol has allround longevity benefits, which may include improving cardiovascular health, reducing inflammation, lowering bad cholesterol, improving skin health and supporting brain health and other ageing-related issues

What’s in a bottle of resveratrol?

  • 30 x 300 mg capsules, enough for one month

  • our resveratrol has been synthesised to obtain 99% purity and maintain the highest safety standards

  • the vegetarian capsules are enteric-coated for release in the small intestine for optimal bio-availability

  • tested for substance and safety in a third-party lab

Third-Party Lab Tests

We test The Grape - Resveratrol for safety and substance at a third-party lab in Singapore. See below for the latest testing reports.

Testing reports

How much resveratrol should I take per day?

While Professor David Sinclair takes 1,000 mg of resveratrol a day, we recommend that you start with our daily dosage of 300 mg. This dose is well within the range of most human scientific studies into resveratrol and is affordable. People over 45 years of age may want to consider increasing the dosage gradually. Resveratrol has been tested for safety for doses up to 2,500 mg per day. The Grape - Resveratrol is 99% pure and synthesised, meaning that our 300 mg dose is much more effective than comparable doses of low-purity resveratrol extracts that are mostly found on the market.

The science behind resveratrol.

Resveratrol (3,5,4′-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) is a polyphenol, a compound that certain plants produce to defend themselves against pressures such as weather, insect attacks and wounding. Resveratrol is found in high concentrations in red grape skin, but also in peanuts, blueberries, raspberries, mulberries and Japanese knotweed (Hu Zhang).

Although our resveratrol is synthesised for purity and safety reasons, one 300 mg capsule of The Grape - Resveratrol contains the equivalent amount of resveratrol as 24 liters of red wine.

Resveratrol activates the sirtuins, the longevity genes that protect your DNA and epigenetics. As NAD+ boosters - such as NMN - are the fuel for the sirtuins, resveratrol works synergistically with NMN.

You might also know resveratrol from the works of David Sinclair. He is a professor at Harvard Medical School and is one of the biggest researchers of resveratrol in the field. Note that we’re not affiliated with David Sinclair, but he is a big source of information.

How is resveratrol different from NMN and quercetin?

NMN boosts NAD+, which is the fuel to the sirtuins, the so-called longevity genes that protect your cells. Resveratrol acts as a booster to NMN and activates these longevity genes or sirtuins. Quercetin clears your senescent cells or zombie cells.

Together, the three products cover all 9 Hallmarks of Ageing. While resveratrol works to prevent cells from becoming zombie cells, quercetin actually clears them (hence the double check mark). The combination of the three supplements also enhances their individual effects. Therefore, we recommend taking both NMN, resveratrol and quercetin together.

The Hallmarks of Ageing are the nine reasons on a cellular level why we age.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ Is resveratrol safe?

Resveratrol naturally occurs in food such as red grapes, but also in certain berries, peanuts and Japanese knotweed (Hu Zhang). Several clinical trials have shown that resveratrol supplementation is safe and well-tolerated at different doses. Our resveratrol has been tested for heavy metals and purity, see our testing report. We do not recommend taking resveratrol when you are pregnant or are suffering from serious diseases. When in doubt, always seek the advice of a health/medical professional.

+ What are the ingredients in The Grape - Resveratrol?

The Grape - Resveratrol contains the compound 3,5,4′-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene (resveratrol in short). Resveratrol is a molecule that is found naturally in foods, such as red grapes, peanuts, certain berries and Japanese knotweed (Hu Zhang).

+ What does 99% purity mean and what is the other 1%?

The Grape - Resveratrol contains the highest possible level of purity at 99%. Our resveratrol is synthesised to reach this high level of purity; it would be impossible to reach this purity with extracts. Another disadvantage of extracts is that the nature of the extraction process leads to high levels of heavy metals in supplements. The remaining 1% are safe byproducts of the synthetisation process.

+ The Grape - Resveratrol is synthesised, what does that mean?

Most resveratrol supplements on the market are extracts (from roots, for example). The downsides of extraction are that it is very hard to get high levels of purity and the nature of the extraction process leads to high levels of heavy metals in these supplements. Therefore, The Grape - Resveratrol is synthesised to create a high purity, high bioavailability and safe product.

+ In what kind of capsules does The Grape - Resveratrol come?

Our capsules are (vegan) cellulose capsules with a so-called enteric coating. This means that the capsules have been designed for the resveratrol to not open in your stomach. The capsule will not be broken down by your stomach acids and only gets opened in your small intestine, where bioavailability (the amount that gets absorbed by your body) is the highest.

+ What colour does the resveratrol powder have?

The Grape - Resveratrol is a grey-white powder (as prof. David Sinclair also recommends). Resveratrol that is brown is very likely to be a low-purity extract supplement. Not all white resveratrol is as pure, but we test our resveratrol to make sure you're getting a 99% pure supplement.

+ What is the best time of the day to take resveratrol?

Resveratrol is best taken in the morning, with some food. Resveratrol's bioavailability or absorption can be increased by taking it with preferably fatty foods. Our capsules are enteric-coated, which protects the resveratrol for stomach acids and releases the resveratrol in the small intestine for optimal bioavailability.

+ What daily dosage do you recommend?

While Professor David Sinclair takes 1,000 mg of resveratrol a day, we recommend that you start with our daily dosage of 300 mg. This dose is well within the range of most human scientific studies into resveratrol and is affordable. People over 45 years of age may want to consider increasing the dosage gradually. Resveratrol has been tested for safety for doses up to 2,500 mg per day. The Grape - Resveraterol is 99% pure and synthesised, meaning that our 300 mg dose is much more effective than comparable doses of low-purity resveratrol extracts that are mostly found on the market.

+ Does resveratrol have any side effects?

Human trials have been conducted to research the safety of resveratrol and no side effects of resveratrol have been documented. However, some participants of clinical studies reported one or more adverse events, such as gastrointestinal symptoms including nausea, flatulence, bowel motions, abdominal discomfort, loose stools, and diarrhea, after ingesting a dose of 2,500 to 5,000 mg per day.

+ Can I take resveratrol alongside other supplements?

Resveratrol is generally safe to take alongside other supplements.

To assess whether specific supplements or drugs interact with resveratrol, we would recommend talking to a health professional before you start taking it. Resveratrol could interact with medicines like blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, cancer treatments, MAOI antidepressants, antiviral and antifungal medicines, NSAID painkillers, and supplements like St. John's wort, garlic, and ginkgo.

+ What is the difference between The Base - NMN and The Grape - Resveratrol?

Resveratrol activates the sirtuins, the so-called longevity genes that protect your cells. NMN boosts NAD+, which is the fuel to these sirtuins. Resveratrol and NMN therefore complement each other. Together, NMN and resveratrol also cover the 9 Hallmarks of Ageing, or the nine reasons on a cellular level why we age.
